Superhero Workshop with Marvel Artist Jerry DeCaire In-Person
Eckhart Public Library will welcome Marvel Entertainment Comic Artist, Jerry DeCaire for a drawing performance and workshop on Saturday, July 26th, from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.
Jerry DeCaire, a Saginaw native, began his career in 1991 when he was assigned an illustrative gig for one of the biggest name in comics, X-Men Annual #15. It was his first professional assignment which was then later reprinted in various trades. More work for Marvel and other publishing houses followed, including illustrations for Iron Man, Wolverine, Deadpool, and Thor.
DeCaire's Superhero Workshop will demonstrate how a comic is made from beginning to end. Attendees will learn how to draw a superhero like a comic artist, from sketching to coloring and beyond.
All materials will be provided. Please register below. This is an all-ages event, and children under 8 must be accompanied by a caregiver.
