Stories & Streaming: Misty of Chincoteague

Stories & Streaming: Misty of Chincoteague

Stories & Streaming is a book club for elementary-aged children that meets on Tuesdays from 3:30 - 4:15 pm in the Close Community Room on the upper level of the Main Library.

We will focus on one children's book at a time by listening to a book over multiple weeks. While listening, we'll enjoy a passive activity like drawing, coloring, or a variety of other quiet projects.

After we finish listening to the book, we'll watch its movie version while noting the similarities and differences between the book and the movie.

Hoopla and Libby, streaming services Eckhart Public Library makes available to our cardholders, will be used.

On March 4th, 11th, and 18th, we will listen to Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry. Then, on March 25th, from 3:30 - 5:30 pm we will watch the movie based on that book, Misty.
