Local Author Fair In-Person
We are excited and proud to announce the details of our first Local Author Fair on Saturday, April 22nd. You are invited to join us as we welcome more than 15 local authors to the library for a day of connecting with local culture, learning about the publishing process, getting your books signed, purchasing books and more. The delicious Brown House Foodmobile and Hoosier Mama food trucks will be available.
The following local authors will be participating in the Local Author Fair:

A.L. DeLeon
Lou Ann Homan
Nathan Marchand
Sophia Nye
H.R. Shavor
These authors will be participating in panel discussions on writing in the following categories: Children’s, Fiction, Nonfiction, and Poetry.
We will be celebrating the Teen Poetry Contest with an open mic showcase for teens that would like to participate. They can share their own original works or share works that are meaningful to them. Teens that would like to participate can sign up here!
Additionally, we are excited to welcome PBS Fort Wayne to offer a Kids Writing Workshop for aspiring young writers in our community.
There will be a workshop on how to publish your own books utilizing Shutterfly.
The Friends of Eckhart Public Library will be holding an additional book sale during the Local Author Fair.
